Community Commuter Bike Rides – 2026 MBTA Red Line Shutdown

The City of Cambridge Department of Transportation is hosting free community commuter bike rides during the 2026 MBTA Red Line Shutdown (July 21–30). Rides run from Alewife Station at Steel Place (Bluebikes Station) through Porter, Harvard, Central, and Kendall Squares on slow-paced, quieter streets and separated bike lanes. No experience or RSVP is required, and ride leaders wearing fluorescent vests will guide participants.
